This notice was posted at each end of Rio Cucharas a couple weeks ago.  Basically, the County is saying there are building regulations, permits are required and camping is for a limited time or in other words, one cannot live in their tent or camper indefinitely unless they have approved building permits.

Generally, having a greenhouse and living in your tent or camper is illegal.  Growing marijuana on vacant land is illegal.  There have been a couple illegal marijuana growing operation busts recently.

  2. No. Minimum 600 sf with permanent foundation, septic, water, etc. There is a planned subdivision for tiny homes in Walsenburg but construction has not started yet.

  3. I wonder if I could go to the county and get a variance, we'll see.

  4. Also I wasn't planning on growing any marijuana but if I have to build a 600 sq ft house that might change...

  5. I just purchased a lot in Phase 2. A week after purchase, illegal dumping occurred on my land. Also, noted that there are several trailers parked throughout that appear permanent dwellings. Is there a chance Phase 2 will have an HOA for enforcement?
